The 18th Hainan International Tourism Island Carnival came to an end in South China’s Hainan Province. Hainan, China’s southernmost offshore island is a popular resort and is known for its tropical climate and beautiful seas.
The one-month festival is the largest in the recent years. It featured 118 activities across the island, attracting a record number of participants from home and abroad. The festival was a huge platform for showcasing the latest developments of Hainan’s tourism industry, promoting new tourism products, and exploring new tourism routes. The 2017 Hainan World Leisure Tourism Expo as one of the festival’s attractions saw more than 170,000 visitors.
Various cultural activities like dancing performed by local ethnic groups, sports competitions and traditional food expo, have provided visitors with opportunities to experience Hainan’s unique culture.
