In northwest China’s Xinjinag Uygur Autonomous Region the number of tourists has exceeded 200 billion from January to October in 2019. This was 42.62 per cent up year on year as per the local authorities.
According to the regional culture and tourism department the tourism revenue during the first 10 months of 2019 was 341.73 billion yuan. This was 43.39 per cent up from the same period last year.
Xinjiang has vowed to build itself into a popular destination for tourists from home and aboard due to the diverse ethnic culture and unique landscapes.
Improving infrastructure construction ,tackling parking problems and ensuring stable mobile signals for tourists are some of the measures that have been taken.
Wu Feng, head of the Association of Xinjiang Travel Service said that winter is coming and Xinjiang will enrich winter tourism products and ensure smooth traffic flow to attract more tourists to enjoy the beautiful winter scenery of Xinjiang.
