Over 500 tourism stakeholders are taking part in the 2019 Fijian Tourism Expo (FTE) arranged from Wednesday to Friday at the Denarau Island Convention Center in Nadi, Fiji’s third largest city on Thursday.
The FTE, premier tourism industry event of the island nation, permits Fiji’s key tourism stakeholders to endorse their products to foreign buyers in countries like Australia, New Zealand, Canada, China, Germany and India.
This year highlights the sixth consecutive year for the annual event, planning an exclusive Fiji travel experience for international buyers and media. Arranged by Tourism Fiji, the event offers a cross-sectoral podium for tourism partners to directly connect with international buyers and travel trade media.
The event has developed with an intention of building a bigger and better tourism industry in a sustainable and holistic manner. The FTE 2019 will set up and improve the 2018’s event to display the major diversity and quality of products in Fiji to old and new international industry partners.
The FTE 2019 is for someone who is passionate about being an essential element of growth and development of the Fijian tourism industry.
The tourism industry, the largest foreign exchange earner for Fiji, has majorly contributed to the economy of Fiji. The industry offers employment directly and indirectly to around 45,000 people and is the rapid way of growing the industry in terms of employment in the island nation.
Fiji, a nation with a population of almost 900,000, had over 870,000 visitors in 2018. The value of tourism in Fiji motivates Tourism Fiji to carry on and deliver a world-leading destination and to help travel sellers around the world understand the beauty and character of Fiji.
