23 dead in California wildfires, hundreds missing

wildAccording to the authorities the massive wildfires in California, the cause of which is still unknown, has resulted in the death of 23 people leaving thousand homeless and damaging businesses and building.

 

A state of emergency has been declared by Jerry Brown for Napa, Sonoma and Yuba counties in Northern California.
As per the National Interagency Fire Center 8,000 firefighters and support personnel along with 123 aircraft battled the fire.
Around 1,000 fire deapartments from San Diego to Oregano were assisting.
Federal agencies and the  neighbouring Neveada and Washington are assisting the victims with resources.

 

 

Till now 168 patients were treated for burns and smoke inhalation as of Monday night mentioned St.Joseph Health.

 

 

The sheriff’s office said that an additional 285 people went missing in the Sonoma County. Out of the 600 missing reports only 315 were located safe. Around 7,000 people of the Napa County were without power.

 

Robert Giordano, the Sonoma County Sheriff said that life was more important than property, showing his concern for all the fire lines as they anticipated winds.Mandatory evacuation orders were placed and the residents of the affected areas were asked not to get back to their homes.
