Cathay Pacific strives to offer passengers the best-possible inflight experience, which includes high-quality dining services. In 2014, Cathay served more than 33 million inflight meals, featuring a wide variety of Chinese and Western dishes. From the sourcing of ingredients to menu design, from food preparation to tray setting, Cathay Pacific’s Catering Services team works hard to ensure passengers have a refreshing journey.
Media friends are cordially invited to enjoy a tour of Cathay Pacific Catering Services (CPCS), the airline’s inflight catering kitchen. Through a guided tour of the different work stations and a look at the state-of-the-art catering equipment, we will give you a better understanding of the effort that goes into ingredient selection and meal preparation. There will also be a cooking demonstration using some of the high-quality ingredients selected by Cathay Pacific for passengers, which are also available from Deli-Delight, the online shop run by CPCS which offers customers the opportunity to purchase the same high-quality ingredients to enjoy at home.
CPCS General Manager Andy Wong, Cathay Pacific Head of Catering Aaron Claxton and Inflight Catering Manager Kim Chong will host the event and join the lunch buffet featuring a range of top-notch dishes served on board Cathay flights.
To enable better arrangements for the lunch, please advise your availability by completing the reply slip on the next page, which should be returned by email or fax by the end of 12 January (Tuesday).
