Spring Flower Festival in Ho Chi Minh City welcomes guests to to its Lunar New Year festivals

hoihoaxuanTPHCMJPGHo Chi Minh City’s annual Spring Flower Festival opened at Tao Dan Park and on Cong Truong Quoc Te Street  as part of activities to welcome the Lunar New Year (Tet).


The festival gathers more than 3,000 exhibits, including various types of flowers, bonsai, fish and rock sculptures.


During the festival, themed “peace-integration-development”, visitors will have a chance to enjoy art performances, folk games, and photo and calligraphy exhibitions.


Nguyen Thi Thu, Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Committee, described the festival, which runs until February 14, as part of the city’s special cultural identity and a traditional activity to welcome spring.


It also offers an opportunity for horticulturalists and artisans to engage in exchanges and showcase their works, contributing to promoting the land and people of HCM City.


Along with the festival, three major flower markets will be opened at the September 23, Gia Dinh and Le Van Tam parks, while 128 flower markets will meet in districts across the city from February 1-7.
