Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado, a boutique resort in tucked away in the mountain landscape of Northern New Mexico, welcomes the spring and summer travel season with a roster of exciting outdoor pursuits and culinary adventures highlighting the dynamic destination of Santa Fe. The all-season adventure destination offers mountain biking, backdoor trails and watersports that can be exclusively coordinated for guests through the Resort’s Adventure Partners outfitters, while gourmands will enjoy new culinary offerings including a private-label craft beer in partnership with local brewery Bosque Brewery and interactive dinners and lunches during Outside Magazine’s annual Bike & Brew Festival, May 19-22, 2016.
Spring and Summer Active Adventures
As the snow melts in the mountains and mild temperatures abound, the Resort is prepped to act as a home base for outdoor pursuits. The Resort-based Adventure Partners outfitter is on hand to craft custom itineraries for guests from mountain biking to white water rafting and exploration hiking. Adventure Partners will provide guests mountain bikes to explore backdoor trails, including Pacheco Canyon Descent, an exhilarating, easy to moderate downhill ride from the Santa Fe Ski Basin at 10,350 feet (3,150 metres) through a little known canyon of diverse mountain streams, meadows, and wild flowers; or the Galisteo Basin Trails that offer 20 miles (32 kilometres) of moderate riding, taking riders past vibrant rock formations with the nearby Ortiz and Sandia mountains as a backdrop. Watersports including whitewater rafting, fly fishing and kayaking can be arranged to nearby Rio Grande. Across the Rio Grande Valley guests can explore Valles Caldera National Park, a little known wilderness region created by a super volcano; or the magical Ghost Ranch area, made famous by artist Georgia O’Keeffe for exploration hiking.
Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado will play host to dynamic culinary events as part of Outside Magazine’s Annual Bike & Brew Festival, one of the most unique cycling and craft beer festivals in the country, May 19-22, 2016. Guests are invited to experience the Resort’s food and beverage offerings led by Executive Chef Andrew Cooper and Director of Outlets Jakub Skyvara, who will introduce the private-label Rancho Encantado craft brew in partnership with local Bosque Brewery during the festival. Chef Cooper will offer a special menu to pair with selections from Bosque Brewery. Special events include:
