Three tourists, two Austrians and one Swede were injured in suspected militant attack at the entrance of the hotel in resort of Hurghada in Egypt. The tourists were stabbed and wounded in the Red Sea resort city of Hurghada, Egypt.
There was immediate combat from the security forces outside the hotel that opened fire and one of the assailants died and the other was seriously injured.
The two men had entered the hotel’s restaurant carrying knives and pellet guns attacking tourists. The dead attacker was identified as a student from Cairo’s neighbourhood Giza. He was just 21 years old.
The tourists were immediately rushed to the hospital and given the necessary treatment.
On the day before this attack another attack was made on a hotel in Cairo near the Giza Pyramids. None of the tourists were hurt.
Egypt is in the middle of insurgency of jihadist attacks by the local affiliates Isis. Consistent attack is making chances of tourism somewhat slim in the country. Egypt tourism is trying to bring out a better picture by controlling terror attacks and checking terror groups but consistent attacks are making things difficult for the country.
