The hotel is all set to open in 2019 and will broaden the group’s African portfolio to 83 hotels and over 17,500 rooms in operation and under development.
Andrew McLachlan, the senior vice president, business development, Africa & Indian Ocean of Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group said that he was thrilled about the group’s 30th entry in Africa and Cameroon would be ideal being a key market in Central Africa.
The hotel will cater to the demand for Radisson Blu Hotel and Apartment products across the African region. After being launched it is expected to be one of the finest upper scale product in the financial hub of Cameroon and a significant addition to the Central African Radisson Blu portfolio.
The hotel will have a high visibility of the Radisson blue brand being located in the most-sought after business district of Doula, the economic capital of the country.
The hotel will allow easy access across the city as it is ideally positioned in the centre between the port and the main highway, National 3. It is only 25 minutes from the Douala International Airport,
The 150 –room Radisson Blu will have a mix of standard bedrooms, studio, one and two-bedroom apartments.
There will be an all-day dining restaurant, lobby bar and a Destination Sky Bar and Restaurant. It will also house gymnasium, wellness spa and stylish conference room.
