A lethal terror attack on the New Year’s Eve killed 39 people including at least 27 foreign nationals at an up-market night club in Turkey’s city of Istanbul. The gun-attack also injured 69 more club goers on 31st December.
Although the local authorities in turkey informed that it was the work of a lone gunman, but according to the witnesses, multiple attackers were seen at the club.
On Sunday, 1st January, the police in Turkey were hunting the gunman, who massacred the famous Reina club on the New Year’s Eve. The Prime Minister of Turkey, Binali Yildirim informed that before running away from the scene after open firing at innocent people, the terrorist left the gun near the night club.
The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan offered his condolences for all the victims including the ‘foreign guests’.
Travellers from Canada, India, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Iraq, Kuwait, Syria, Israel and Jordan were amongst the club goers who lost their lives during the attack.
None of the terror groups claimed any responsibility for the attack yet.
