The Dubai Cruise Terminal is a part of Dubai Harbour which defines the maritime neighbourhood by Meraas. The Cruise Terminal will be the main hub for international cruise ships visiting or deployed in the region.
ASGC , one of the leading construction groups in the United Arab Emirates is known to construct two main cruise terminal building strategically positioned on a of quay of approximately one kilometers along with service building, a central unit building with all associated fit-out works, external works, and all fixtures, fittings and equipment.
Bishoy Azmy, chief executive of ASGC, stated that projects that contribute to the development of the country’s infrastructure and sectors are ones ASGC is proud to be in.
He said that the company is committed to deliver this project utilizing the latest construction processes.
There will be new environment of complete luxury and comfort for passengers and crews in each cruise terminal. There will be simplified processes, seamless flow along with leisure and retail offerings.
The latest addition is in sync with the Dubai Tourism Strategy 2020 focused on making the emirate a first choice for international leisure and business travellers.
It has been noted by the Cruise Lines Industry Association, more than 40 million people worldwide will be traveling on cruise ships annually by 2030 which will represent a 40 per cent increase from 2017.
The maritime tourism sector at a national level is expected to contribute more than AED1.5 billion to Dubai’s economy by 2030.
