china-eastern-airlinesSeven people have been hospitalized after China Eastern flight MU777 hit turbulence as it landed at Sydney Airport.

It is believed there were 30 people on board the China Eastern Airlines plane, which landed safely.

One patient suffered a laceration to the jaw, and others injuries to the head, back and wrist. Three are reportedly suffering from neck pain.

Flight MU777, which had departed from Kunming on Tuesday morning, had “encountered terrible turbulence while landing” at about 2.30pm local time.

It’s been a rough stretch for China Eastern Airlines, as the South China Morning Post is also reporting that the carrier was forced to apologize to passengers Monday after it sent them to the wrong plane scheduled to fly to Xiamen instead of Wuhan.

In addition, a person traveling on a shuttle bus carrying China Eastern Airlines passengers Saturday fell off the vehicle when the driver stopped suddenly. The person was injured and had to be rushed to a local hospital as a result of the incident.
