A total of 620,000 inbound tourists were received by Sanya in November, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 70 per cent.
It is expected to receive more than 18 million visitors by the end of the year that will set a record for tourism there.
Apart from an increase in tourists the number of international flights to Sanya has increased by 64 per cent on a yearly basis while the foreign exchange earnings from tourism have risen by 131.09 per cent.
Fan Mu, director of the Sanya Tourism Development Commission said that the world is discovering Sanya and the growth in visitors comes from investments in the region’s infrastructure and eased visa policies.

China’s welcoming policy for Hainan allows travellers from 26 countries to obtain a 15-day visa upon arrival in Sanya.
Groups from some countries will be able to stay even longer, citizens of a few others will be able to visit the island for 15 days without any visa.
