8 people were killed and ten injured when a plane crashed while trying to make an emergency landing due to poor weather conditions in Bolivia. Heavy rain with tumultuous weather conditions forced the pilot to make an emergency landing. However, due to some unknown reason, the plane caught fire and crashed into the land killing 8. There were 18 passengers including the pilot and co-pilot on board.
Aerocon spokesman Nelson Kinn said that the plane had technical issues that led to the plane catching fire on landing. “As they were landing, on touchdown, the plane had some kind of problem that led to fire. The people who died sustained multiple injuries and burns,” Kinn told AFP news agency. “The pilot and the co-pilot are in the gravest situation … Seven [bodies] are [so] charred, we can’t identify them.”
Officials are investigating on the incident.
