Since April 30th, the colours of the rainbow have taken over the centre of Brussels. In addition to the three days of public festivities and the annual parade this Saturday 16 May, there was also a vast and varied programme to be discovered at the two-week PrideFestival. The day after the opening of Mini-Pride in the presence of Jean-Paul Gaultier on 30 April, festivities and initiatives by citizens, intellectuals and activists will take place in the name of conviviality and the fight for equality.
Although atmosphere and enjoyment are the key words at Pride.be in Brussels, it remains an opportunity during which the LGBTQI-community and the entire society all speak up with the same voice to defend the values of solidarity and equality.
Belgium’s capital can be proud to host for the 20th consecutive year the Pride.be. Since 2012, visit.brussels has been working with the Pride.be to make sure the party is even more beautiful and spectacular. They help with the logistics for the event, but also focus on providing as much security for participants as possible. visit.brussels is proud to support this now indispensable event, that opens the Gay Pride season in Europe.
