Preparations for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 are well under way, and come May the B&W Halls on Refshaleøen in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, will be transformed into a power centre of music, festivities and community spirit.
All of Europe is invited, and for those who wish to experience the world’s biggest music contest up close and help lift the European peoples’ festival, it is now possible to acquire tickets. 29 November 2013 at 10:00 CET Billetlugen.dk/eurovision opens for ticket sales to the Eurovision Song Contest 2014.
“We look forward to welcoming everyone, and for as many as possible to join us in Copenhagen. We wish to bring people together across national borders and give everyone a joint experience that will be talked about for years to come. With a total of nine shows there will be ample opportunity to follow the contest, participate in the festivities and experience the show live,” says Pernille Gaardbo, executive producer for the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest.
Nine Shows and tickets from approximately EUR 14
The tickets will be priced from approximately EUR 14 and up (plus ticket fee and handling). In addition to the tickets for the final on 10 May 2014 and the two semifinals 6 and 8 May 2014 respectively, tickets are on sale for jury shows, which are held on the nights preceding the final and semifinals.
The jury shows function as rehearsals, and based on these shows the juries in the European countries cast their votes, so the excitement is at least as intense as in the big TV-transmitted shows. Furthermore, there is an opportunity to buy tickets for three additional family shows. These are rehearsals held in the afternoon and therefore particularly well-suited for families with children, who get a first-hand experience without having to stay up all night.
It has already been determined that Sweden will compete in the first semifinal, and Norway in the second. The remaining participating countries’ placements in the semifinals will be determined in January 2014.
