Running now until the end of August 2016, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts launches the latest chapter in the brand’s Cocktail Quarterly series with Margarita Moments, featuring Patrón Silver tequila. From passion fruit and peaches to lime and lemon, participating Four Seasons bartenders and mixologists combine the freshest fruits of the season with artisanal salts, housemade tonics, local spices and Patrón Silver, adding new zest to one of the world’s favourite cocktails.
A year-long global initiative, the Cocktail Quarterly series devotes attention to one cocktail trend, technique or seasonal ingredient each quarter. Participating Four Seasons properties create one cocktail that speaks to each theme while infusing their own individual inspiration and ingredients. Started in the summer of 2015, the series now adds the Margarita to the list of cocktails featured throughout the initiative, including floral-inspired spring cocktails, tea and coffee cocktails, bubbly beverages and the classic Old Fashioned.
Perfect for any moment, this season’s Margaritas include:
La Picazon at Four Seasons Hotel Austin: Embracing the earthiness of chilies, this cocktail features a housemade three chili-honey syrup from local honeybees, combined with Patrón Silver, Aperol, and freshly squeezed lemon and grapefruit juices for a flavourful take on the Margarita.
La Casa Azul at Four Seasons Hotel Seattle: Named after both Frida Kahlo’s house in Mexico City and 100 percent weber blue agave used to produce Patrón, this cocktail features a base of crème de mure with Patrón Silver, orgeat, pineapple juice and lime juice to create a beautiful purple gradient throughout the drink.
Palm Beach Pearl at Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach: Inspired by the mint in the Resort’s herb garden and the fresh summer mango grown nearby, this cocktail infuses the two tropical flavours into the Patrón Silver with the help of nitrogen to create a complex and layered composition without compromising the crisp characteristics of the tequila. The mint and mango infused Patrón Silver is combined with fresh mint leaves, lime juice, Cointreau and agave to create a balanced, delicious beverage.
Strawberry Habanero Margarita at Four Seasons Hotel Denver: Summer means fresh strawberries, which are perfectly complemented by habanero to create a spicy-sweet simple syrup. When combined with Patrón Silver and fresh citrus juice, the mixture results in a tangy, fiery libation.
