The revellers gathered in a cutting under the railway line at first. But, as more people started to join the rave, the party eventually spread all over the train tracks.
The bizarre incident took place on Saturday 25th June, at night. The rave gathered around the railway line at Newton St Loe, which is situated near Bath in Somerset.
The police had to go through a lot of difficulty to shut down the rave as the weather condition and the location was slowing them down.
The police managed to secure the railway line around 5 in the morning on Sunday 26th June. They had to keep the line closed till 6am to clear the site.
Another rave, involving 60 people, had to be shut down by the police near Oldbury-on-Severn in South Gloucestershire. The site of the rave got cleared around 5.10 am local time. Apparently, the organizers of the rave advertised about the event on the social media. Later, their music system was seized by the police.
The superintendent of Avon and Somerset Police, Chris Weigold stated that the local community members helped the police to identify both the events. He added that they were able to act swiftly on both the cases only because the residents informed them about the raves on time.
Weigold also stated that the seized equipment would allow the police to enforce progressed action against the organizers.
