It was reported that the available seat kilometres increased 14.2 per cent over the previous year while sales increased by 15.9 per cent.
The seat load factor rose by 1.1 percentage points as compared to December 2016, to a sum of 78.9 per cent.
Around 130 million passengers were welcomed by the Lufthansa Group on board 2017 and with this number they set a new passenger record.
A record high of 80.9 per cent remained last year with its seat load factor on the 1.1 million flights.
The positive growth was due the currency adjusted yield indication throughout December.
There 6.6 per cent increase in the cargo capacity year-on-year and the cargo sales were up 5.8 per cent in revenue ton-kilometre terms.
