A road show and a seminar were organized in Jaipur today by the Department of Tourism in collaboration with J&K Hoteliers’ Club. The chief guest at this event was Mr. Arun Chaturvedi, Minister of Social Welfare, Minority Affairs and Wakf Board Government of Rajasthan. Many other dignitaries were also present at this occasion.
Mr. Chaturvedi said that the Kashmir Valley is one of the most preferred destinations for tourists from all over the world. he praised the splendour and magnificence of Kashmir and appealed the travel trade fraternity of Rajasthan to promote Kashmir not only for leisure and its beautiful locations but also for its heritage, craft and hospitable people.
The J&K tourism department also organized a press conference during which Director Floriculture, Kashmir, Muhammad Hussain Mir mentioned the offbeat destinations of the state in addition to its unique features. He said Kashmir has some unique features like saffron spice and heli-ski destination Gulmarg. He said Ladakh has double humped camels and Kashmir possesses diverse wildlife and has rare breed of Hangul. He asked travel agents and media persons to promote J&K as an alluring and fascinating tourist destination and threw light on various ongoing tourism infrastructure projects in the state.
Throughout the seminar, J& K tourism showcased the state’s beauty through various presentations.
