All of AACB’s 15 city and regional convention bureaux members will take part in AIME 2015, from 24-25 February at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. Australia’s convention bureaux and their member organisations will make a significant impact, taking up more than one third of the show’s floor space.
AACB will also be on show in 2015 at stand E716 – a first for the Association.
Executive Director, Andrew Hiebl said, “AACB has had a successful twelve months advocating on behalf of the entire business events industry and engaging the Federal Government off the back of some strategic research.”
“We have an important responsibility to raise the profile of the sector, as through our members, we represent more than 1600 industry operators across the business events spectrum.”
There, AACB will share key findings of its Deloitte Report as well as information on the new Government framework to attract business events to Australia. AACB will also help connect visitors to the Association’s member bureaux and direct them to the best stands at AIME.
“This is a very important event to our members,” said Hiebl. “Convention bureaux use AIME as a platform to launch new products, communicate to industry, maintain relationships, build brand awareness and develop new clientele.”
In order to attract business to their stands, Australia’s convention bureau will be hosting activities and giving away grand prizes. Everything from cocktails, cheese and wine to Akubras to VIP packages and massages.
