A week before, Abu Dhabi, the capital city of UAE has been confirmed as the second-best city in the world among 60 world-class cities like Sydney, Hong Kong, Cape Town, Moscow, Toronto in terms of living, working and doing business. The city succeeds New York. However, it outdoes London and Paris in the global city index. This survey polled over 18,000 people between the age group of 16 and 64, located in 26 countries worldwide.
The results emphasized the major growth of Abu Dhabi’s global perception as a significant commercial destination. Over 21 percent of survey participants voted Abu Dhabi as a top city to do business, just 2 percent below New York. Also, Abu Dhabi positioned highest among three younger generations like Generation X, Millennials and Generation Z, who were constant in making New York and Abu Dhabi as their two most preferred cities in the world.
We all are aware of the fact that planning is a vital parameter in attaining success. And the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council is all set out with the singular goal of turning the city into a global Capital.
This agency is key and playing a vital role for the future of the Capital’s urban environments. Side by side, it is also the expert authority working behind the framework plans for the emirate – Plan Capital, Plan Al Ain, Plan Al Dhafra and Plan Maritime.
“It is something to be celebrated. It is also important we continue towards constantly improving and evolving the emirate in line with the Abu Dhabi Plan,” Al Ahbabi said.
