His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, said that the AccessAbilities Expo and Dubai Accessible Tourism International Summit (DATIS), which starts today, will play a pivotal role in supporting and realizing the vision of the UAE government.

Sheikh Ahmed said, “Dubai is fast becoming a Smart City and technological advancement will bring out advanced solutions to serve the People of Determination and enable the majority of them to live their lives without depending on others.”

The ever-improving efforts like Expo and Summit will assist the UAE in becoming the largest centre of its kind in the region to offer technology, equipment and smart solutions for People of Determination, and also attract international manufacturers in launching offices and representative centers in the country for that purpose.

Around 245 international companies and centers specializing in the rehabilitation of People with Disabilities from 40 countries across the world will display advanced technologies facilitating lives and mobility of people with disabilities at the Expo that runs from 5 to 7 November at Hall 5, 6 and 7 of DWTC.
