In Adra, tourist interest is gradually growing, if the number of visits to the municipal tourist office this summer is anything to go by.

The council mentioned that in June, July, August and September, almost 1,000 people had dropped into the tourist office situated in the Fishing museum to collect information on the area. An additional 1,000 had gone there to take part in one of the guided tours of Adra.

Tourism councilor, Elisa Fernandez said that she was “very satisfied” with the numbers, which she said “are increasing every year.”

Besides, she emphasized that the tourist office had received almost 400 more information requests this summer compared to 2018; in September 2019, the office visitor numbers increased by 70 compared to the same month of 2018.

“For this government team developing tourism is very important”, the councilor stressed.
“Therefore Adra continues to open its doors to the world and continues designating itself as a quality destination on the must-see visit map.”

This summer, several visitors from Madrid, Murcia or the Valencia region went to the Adra tourist office but there were also visitors from other parts of Andalucia and from countries like France and the UK.

The council mentioned that the most common requests were regarding information on the beaches of the town, especially Playa de la Rana on which dogs are allowed.

Also, usual requests for local restaurants, fiestas, cultural activities, active tourism and hikes, as well as other details were also noticed.
