Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe announces the appointment of Hans Loehr to Director of Adventure Programming. Loehr will lead the Resort operations in offering adventure-driven itineraries and experiences for guests of the 56 guest room and nine suite resort, located 10 minutes from downtown Santa Fe. The Northern New Mexico landscape is primed for adventures that Loehr will personally curate for guests, ranging from mountain biking in the adjacent Sangre de Cristo Mountains to white water rafting, horseback riding, and custom day trips to Taos and Abiquiu, the former home of Georgia O’Keefe.
Hailing from a small town near the Rhine River in Germany, Loehr explored Europe growing up and was always fond of visiting the United States. After travelling the United States, Canada and Mexico for six months in the early 1980s, he resolved to move to the West.
“After extensive travels around the globe, I visited New Mexico and fell in love with the amazing hiking and outdoor adventure opportunities,” sayes Loehr. “Santa Fe offers a great base for exploring the Southwest, as well as world class art, incredible cuisine and a wonderful mix of many cultures.”
Wanderlust and a sense of adventure led Loehr to Santa Fe where he was part of the Resort’s original opening team in 2008. Loehr’s love of the outdoors was always top-of-mind as he explored this magical destination and soon led him to become the lead for local outfitter Adventure Partners, formerly onsite at the Resort. Loehr’s passion and firsthand experiences inform the custom adventures he creates for guests while also offering a roster of signature excursions that reveal the best of the local landscapes, culture and history.
Signature excursions at Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encanado include:
When not helping plan adventures, Loehr is likely out researching new experiences, visiting with local tourism officials, and forging bonds with local artisans who can share their stories and experiences with Four Seasons guests. Loehr has an economics degree, with an emphasis on freight forwarding, from California State University Northridge.
