By next summer Air Corsica will be launching a series of flights to Stansted and will use a 180-seat Airbus A320 with one-way fares from £49. The flights will be operative from May 3 until November 4.
Bastia, Ajaccio and Figari the island’s three major airports will be served with upto nine flights a week.
The airline has been operating from the last 28 years and carried 1.7 million passengers, it has a total of 12 aircraft half of them are Airbus A320 jets and operates 33 routes.
The rates include hold baggage of up to 23 kg and a complimentary bag of up to12 kg plus. There will be complimentary on-board snacks and drinks along with free seat allocation.
Philippe Dandrieux, Air Corsica chairman said that with the international development of the new route will lead to Corsica’s growth, London has been a priority in serving European capitals and Corsica had earlier missed on London Stansted’s route map.
Ken O’Toole said that Corisa will be one of the finest addition to the ever growing network that is all set to cover more than 190 destinations across Europe and North America.
