The plan to launch the brand new long-haul airline has been unveiled by the new CEO of Air France-KLM, Mr. Jean-Marc Janaillac. He has also informed that the airline is ‘battling on all fronts’ at present.
The authorities of Air France do not have a specific name for the new brand of airline yet. But, the airline officials have informed that the new lower-cost airline will offer both economy and business class travel either on the new routes or on the re-opened routes.
The airline has revealed its plan to employ different pilots and cabin crew for the new airline, in order to compete with the low-cost rival companies.
According to Janaillac, the status quo is not an option and they must launch a new dynamic to return to a leadership position in their markets.
In order to win back the market shares that the airline lost due to clashes with the trade unions and employees, the new boss of Air France Kuala Lumpur has come up with the plan.
After the announcement, the cabin crew union SNPNC has expressed that the new staff of the upcoming airline will not be able to enjoy the similar work benefits and eventually it will become ‘low cost’ for the new airline staffs.
Air France authorities has revealed that the brand new airline will have 10 long-haul flights by the year 2020. The airline has also informed that the new branch will constitute the group’s response to the Gulf State airlines which are developing at low production costs.
