Air France tests immersive headset for in-flight entertainment

virtualGuests boarding the Air France can watch films or series in their own private movie theater in isolation from the rest of the cabin.

Air France is testing a new system, a virtual reality headset onboard that will enable 3D and 2D in-flight entertainment.

 

 

Business class flights between Paris Charles de Gaulle and  St.Martin had the new system from August 1 and currently comprises four headsets for more than 40 movies and TV series.

 

The trail is executed in association with San Francisco-based startup, Skylights.

 

It was reported in a statement by Air France that the company will learn from this experience. It will improve the customer experience with original and innovative solutions.

 

 

After the test period is over the new in-flight entertainment system will be launched on other flights in the months to come.
