Today Air Lease Corporation announced the delivery of one new Airbus A321-200 on long term lease to Sichuan Airlines (China), marking the operator’s 100th airplane in their current fleet. The aircraft, outfitted with Sharklets and powered by IAE V2533 engines, is from ALC’s order book with Airbus. The delivery supplements numerous Airbus A330, A321 and A319 aircraft already on lease to Sichuan by ALC.
“We are proud of being able to contribute to Sichuan Airlines’ growth in the past, and we are privileged to deliver Sichuan Airlines’ 100th aircraft to them today. We appreciate the great relationship with the airline, and look forward to continued teamwork with Sichuan Airlines in the years to come,” said Steven F. Udvar-Házy, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Air Lease Corporation.
“Mr. Házy and his team delivered the very first A320 family aircraft in China to us in 1995. We have enjoyed working with them in the last 20 years, and we are pleased to take delivery of our 100th aircraft from ALC today. As Sichuan Airlines enters a new stage of its development, we see great potential for continued business cooperation between the two companies,” says Li Haiying, Sichuan Airlines’ Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
