Zambian Transport Minister Yamfwa Mukanga, who was on hand to welcome the re-launched service when the Air Zimbabwe flight landed in Lusaka Monday, said Air Zimbabwe was a challenge to Zambia in its quest to establish a national airline.
Deputy Tourism Minister Patrick Ngoma, who was also present, said tourism was now much more dependent on air transportation.
Meanwhile, Zimbabwe’s Deputy Tourism Minister Walter Kananga said the connectivity would help in the implementation of the uni-visa facility initiated by Zambia and Zimbabwe.
