At a recent incident, AirAsia Bhd and Tourism Malaysia signed a two-year contract that will enable both the parties’ team up and boost Malaysian tourism via brand advertising, promotional activities and campaigns altogether.
To quote Spencer Lee, AirAsia head of commercial “through this partnership, we aim to generate wide awareness and publicity on Malaysia as a preferred leisure and business destination and boost the country’s tourist arrivals and receipts’.
He also added by saying that this agreement is in line with national purpose, at par with the newly implemented e-visa entry for China and India, making the entry for the visitors in Malaysia easy and hassle-free.
There will be familiarization trips for consumer, trade, media and travel agencies to Malaysia, as mentioned in the agreement, signed in Shanghai. In combination with planning tourism development and air transportation with brilliant connectivity facilities and market intelligence for the growth and development of the tourism sector, as well as, joint road shows to market Malaysia to trade partners.
