The Latvian airline in October carried 319,018 passengers which was 26 per cent more than the same period in 2016.It was reported that for the fifth month in a row it has been the biggest number of carried passengers in the airline’s history.
Martin Gauss, the chief executive of airBaltic said that they were delighted to inform that more than three million passengers travelled with them this year, accounting to be more during the whole year of 2016.
He thanked his dedicated team who delivered with great punctuality to the passengers. He was also grateful to the passengers who appreciated the quality of their services and got back to them.
The number of flights in October was 4,567 that was 16 per cent more than the same period in 2016, during the first ten months of 2017 airBaltic had operated 42,230 flights.
The load factor of an airline is the number of passengers in proportion to the number of available seats. airBaltic’s load factor was at a level of 75.9 per cent in October 2017.
For the first ten months of 2017, the airBaltic’s load factor was at a level of 77.7 per cent.
In October 2017 the 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic reached a level of 90.2 per cent. This implies that more than 90 out of every 100 airBaltic flights departed on time.
The flight punctuality indicator till October 2017 reached 876.5 per cent.
