The program is being offered in San Antonio in Dallas and also Austin till 1st September.
Airbnb has said that Airbnb has activated the Disaster Response Program to help residents on Texas evacuating coastal areas right before the Hurricane Harvey. Through this program they are aiming to offer temporary accommodations to those who had been forced to evacuate their homes in this natural calamity. Even people requiring emergency relief would be able to connect with Airbnb hosts in Austin, Dallas and San Antonio.
It said that they would like to motivate guests to stay in safe, inland areas by offering available rooms on the platform.
They also mentioned about their gratitude to the government and emergency response personnel who are making the best efforts to keep their communities safe.
