The world’s leading community-driven hospitality brand has declared that it is ready to invest US$2 million through 2020 to promote and support innovative tourism project throughout the region of Asia-Pacific.
The commitment is part of the vision of Airbnb to strengthen communities thanks to some healthy tourism and also empower hospitality entrepreneurs all across the area.
This fund would be available to different organizations comprising destination marketing organizations, non-profit agencies, NGOs as well a community social groups requiring financial support for interesting tourism projects.
And this announcement was made by the co-founder of Airbnb, Nathan Blecharczyk who is also the chairman and CEO of China at the APEC CEO Summit in Da Nang during a panel discussion last week.
He feels that Airbnb to strengthen people and communities through healthy tourism and they also have a long tradition of supporting regional projects on the Asia-Pacific region.
He then went on to add that they continue these efforts to support the goal of APEC to drive sustainable and inclusive tourism to various economies of the Asia-Pacific.
Fresh data highlights how Airbnb is empowering hospitality entrepreneurs across APEC member economies though healthy and authentic travel experiences distributing the economic benefits to people and more places.
This data also reveals that the Airbnb community had boosted APEC economies by US$28 billion and supported as many as 370,000 jobs across 116 APEC cities in 2016.
It also indicates that Airbnb is steadily driving sustainable and inclusive growth through tourism.
