Airlines issue warning against online flight ticket scam

FlightSeveral airlines have issued warning for the air passengers as numerous fake online advertisements are offering free flight tickets.



Many Facebook users have witnessed the online scam, which is offering free air travel option for the users in renowned airlines.



Ryanair has recently warned their passengers about a hoax advertisement, which was offering up tickets to the travellers due to Ryanair’s 35th anniversary. The post has written, “Get 2 Free Tickets on its 35th Anniversary!” The fake post has asked the users to send it to 15 friends after filling up a survey form.



The users have eventually found that the flight seat number on the post does not exist on Ryanair and the flight number has Qantas reference.



Ryanair has issued a formal warning in the Facebook that says, “Please be aware of an online scam offering free Ryanair tickets. This is not an official promotion.”



Air New Zealand has also issued a similar warning to the customers after a fake advertisement has offered the customers with two free tickets on their 51st anniversary.



The Qantas Airways has also noticed a similar scam, where the post has offered the passengers free first class flights for the rest of the year.



Facebook has been informed about the flight ticket scam and they are currently investigating the matter.
