Cakes and buns galore were on offer to passengers flying from Doncaster Sheffield Airport last week, as the Airport and Thomson Airways team helped to raise cash for The Children’s Hospital Charity.
Kind hearted cabin crew from Thomson Airways and members of the airport team baked up their best goods and sold them to generous passengers who were heading off on their holidays.
Kellie Naylor, environment and community officer for Doncaster Sheffield Airport said: “We were thrilled by the amount of cakes, buns and slices whipped up by the team. People gave their time to bake and made some really delicious treats and helped us to raise £300 for The Children’s Hospital Charity.
“Our passengers were very generous and as soon as they heard who we were raising money for, they dug deep and made a donation.
“The Children’s Hospital Charity is our chosen charity for this year and we are pleased to have got our fundraising efforts off to such a flying start.”
