As part of the prize, Head Chef Oscar Poquet has been invited to travel to Barcelona in October to meet world famous chef Ferran Adria.
Chef Oscar and his team competed against nine other restaurants in Dubai over a two month period.
His winning two course menu, which was paired with Estrella Damm and inspired by the flavours of the Mediterranean, included a tempting selection of the restaurant’s all-time favourite tapas: modern brava potatoes, garlic shrimps, chicken croquettes.
The second course comprised ‘Dubai mixed paella’ of seafood, chicken and Arabic spices.
During the competition period, over 400 menus were sold at Al Hambra. The winning score of 92% was achieved based on mystery shopper visits, number of menus sold and a strong social media campaign.
Al Hambra Restaurant is a traditional Spanish eatery with a lively ambiance which makes guests feel at home.
