Alan Wardle, ABTA’s director of public affairs has stepped down from the association after a restructure. Abta chief executive Mark Tanzer confirmed his departure stating that the changing needs of the organisation was a result of the decision to restructure.
He acknowledged the fact as the association was gearing during the most intense political and economic shake-up in recent years with UK preparing for Brexit, Wardle’s exit happened.
He further mentioned that they decided to restructure ABTA’s public affairs team to cope up with the changing needs of the organisation.
The role of director of public affairs will be removed. He thanked Alan for his contribution to ABTA and wished him success.
The restructure will strengthen the association’s public affairs capabilities getting everyone together from the public affairs, legal and communications at a senior executive and operational level.
Lee Petherbridge senior public affairs manager will of ABTA will lead team of three reporting and directly report to chief executive Tanzer.
