southwest FloridaOfficials take against the sudden algae fears on the Atlantic coast of Florida.

According to the the News-Press reports, water-monitoring information as well as the pictures of beaches overlooking the Gulf of Mexico were uploaded on the the Lee County Visitor and Convention Bureau website.

Also, the newspaper added that videos from Fort Myers and Sanibel beaches are consistently posted by the website on social media.

Local inhabitants are worried about the reports related to algae coming from the Caloosahatchee River. The Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation and the Everglades Foundation water quality researchers are of the opinion that the samples give an idea of plenty of freshwater in the river’s estuary which might lead to a bloom.
