Algeria’s Minister of National Planning, Tourism and Craft Industry, Amar Ghoul, is slated to participate in an international conference on sustainable tourism. He will also attend the 58th meeting of the Commission for Africa of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (WTO) taking place in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire this week.
The international conference on sustainable tourism will focus on the goals of sustainable production and consumption.
According to a statement issued in Algiers on Monday by the Ministry of National Planning, Tourism and Craft Industry, several conferences and meetings will be held from Tuesday to Thursday in Abidjan in order “to discuss issues relating to the development of tourism in Africa and in the world”.
While in Abidjan, the Minister will sign a convention with the WTO as part of the strengthening of co-operation between Algeria and the organization.
He will also hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts from different WTO member countries.
