Alitalia, the flag carrier of Italy will fortify its offer between Italy and Brazil during the 2017-18 winter seasons. It would double its weekly non-stop flights flying between Rome and São Paulo from 14th to 20th.
Each year, on an average, more than 326 thousand passengers travel between Italy and São Paulo. As an added advantage, thanks to the recovery of the Brazilian economy as well which caused a major improvement in the performance of Alitalia flights to São Paulo. The new frequencies will be functional and start operating in the coming winter will respond to such a growing demand.
The good news is that 42 % more seats on this route will be offered by Alitalia bringing the number of total weekly flights to 34: 20 to São Paulo, operated by the Italian airline between Italy and Brazil and 14 to Rio de Janeiro respectively. Additionally, Alitalia passengers can advantage from 39 beyond destinations in Brazil and South America. Credit goes to numerous commercial agreements with local airlines such as GOL, LATAM Airlines and Avianca Brazil. From 9th November Alitalia will provide its passengers a second additional flight that would fly every Monday, Thursday and Sunday from Rome Fiumicino at around 10.30am with landing time in São Paulo at 7.50pm (local time).
At 10.30pm (local time), the return flight from the Brazilian city will depart to Rome Fiumicino at 12.30pm on the following day. With the existing daily flight services, new additional services will also be operated which takes off at 10.05pm from Rome Fiumicino (with arrival in São Paulo at 7.25am, local time on the following day) and at 5.15pm (local time) from São Paulo (with arrival in Rome Fiumicino at 7.15am on the following day).
