Allegiant today begins new, nonstop service from Stockton, California to San Diego. To celebrate Allegiant’s new route between Stockton and San Diego, the company, known for its exceptional travel deals, is offering one-way fares for as low as $39.*
“Allegiant is very excited to give Stockton travelers a chance to enjoy some fun in the San Diego sun with this new route,” said Jude Bricker, Allegiant chief operating officer. “We look forward to bringing more visitors and economic growth to the San Diego area with this new service.”
The new service will operate twice weekly and expand on the routes Allegiant currently operates to San Diego International Airport (SAN). With this new flight, Allegiant will now serve two routes to San Diego after Allegiant launched service from Bellingham, Washington to San Diego in June 2008. The route will bring nearly 37,000 additional visitors each year to the San Diego area and generate an estimated $13.3 million in annual visitor spending.
“We look forward to Allegiant’s convenient new service to San Diego from Stockton,” said Joe Terzi, San Diego Tourism president and chief operating officer. “San Diego was just named the number one most affordable destination in the U.S. by Money Magazine, and with our world-class family attractions, vibrant neighborhoods with great art, dining and nightlife, and our beautiful beaches, San Diego has something to offer every kind of traveler.”
Allegiant’s innovative business model has allowed it to grow from one plane and one route to offering access to low-cost flights in over 100 cities nationwide, more than any other domestic low-cost carrier. Allegiant passengers can enjoy unique savings by bundling their air, hotel, car and even activity and attraction reservations together for less.
