Almond Blossom Festival along German Wine Road signals arrival of spring

Spring is in the air and the arrival of pink and white almond blossom along the German Wine Road (Deutsche Weinstrasse) is a sure sign that nature is waking up. From now through the end of April, this annual “Rosa Wochen” (pink weeks) or Almond Blossom Festival along the Weinstrasse offers a handful of villages where you can view these beautiful trees in bloom.

Spring is almond blossom time in Rhineland-Palatinate and although the Pfalz has a many highlight events happening throughout the year. None is more highly anticipated than the Almond Blossom Festival.

The appearance of the first almond blossoms is an indication that winter has come to an end and the Almond Blossom Festival celebrates the arrival of spring.
