AmaWaterways today announced that its 2017 sailings are now open for booking. With an incredible line-up of offerings on the horizon, including the debut of a new ship, new options for Europe and Asia itineraries, and a vastly enhanced roster of wine-themed sailings, AmaWaterways is giving travelers even more choices to explore the most sought-after destinations around the world. Early booking rewards are also now available.
“This is an exciting time for all of us at AmaWaterways, as we look forward to all of our river cruise offerings for 2017,” said Kristin Karst, executive vice president and co-owner of AmaWaterways. “I am ecstatic about our new ship, cruise and land options, and can’t wait to welcome both returning and new guests aboard!”
New Ship, AmaKristina, to Feature Latest in River Cruising Innovation
AmaWaterways continues to expand its growing European fleet with the addition of AmaKristina, which will sail the Rhine in 2017. The sister ship of AmaViola, AmaKristina will feature all of AmaWaterways’ latest innovations, including enhanced staterooms that accommodate more than two guests and connecting cabins. Also, the line’s design team has moved AmaKristina’s massage suite and hair salon down to the lower deck, making room for more highly demanded suites and twin-balcony staterooms. Guests sailing aboard AmaKristina will enjoy AmaWaterways’ existing amenities and services such as the intimate Chef’s Table specialty restaurant, which is included in the cruise fare.
Travelers Can Toast to 2017 with Almost 30% More Wine-Themed Cruises
Food and wine lovers will have something to toast to, as AmaWaterways expands its popular Wine Cruises to 44 departures, the most the line has ever offered. Expert wine hosts, tastings, tours and pairings are all part of the excitement for those taking part in one of these unique travel experiences. One option sure to please epicureans is the Taste of Bordeaux itinerary, a 7-night voyage through France’s renowned Bordeaux region with stops along the Garonne and Dordogne rivers.
Extended Opportunities for European Cruise and Land Vacations
AmaWaterways’ award-winning twin-balcony ships (AmaCerto, AmaPrima, AmaSonata, AmaSerena, AmaStella, AmaViola and AmaKristina) are providing more chances for an unforgettable experience cruising the Danube and Rhine in 2017, with an increased number of sailings along these popular routes. Another new addition to the line’s European itineraries is an optional 2-night land extension in Bucharest, letting travelers booking the Gems of Southeast Europe or Grand Danube itineraries enjoy Romania’s historic capital, also known as the “Paris of the East.”
More Options in Southeast Asia
Travelers on AmaDara, which will for the first time ever sail both directions (Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap and vice versa) along the legendary Mekong River, can choose from a new 15-night itinerary that combines a 7-night cruise with land programs in Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Siem Reap and Ho Chi Minh City; a 10-night itinerary that combines a 7-night cruise with 3 nights in Siem Reap; or a 7-night cruise along the Mekong. Pricing for Vietnam, Cambodia and the Riches of Mekong starts at $2,399 per person; pricing including both cruise and land starts at $4,598 per person.

AmaWaterways is providing incentives for guests who book their 2017 travels by July 31, 2016. Travelers will save $1,500 per stateroom on select Wine Cruises, $1,000 per stateroom on any 10- and 14-night sailings or $500 per stateroom on all other 7-night cruises.*
