Amidst global push for tourists Rwanda unveils new brand identity

rwandaAs part of a wider strategy designed to attract more tourists and greater business investment Visit Rwanda has been in Rwanda as its new brand identity and logo.

 

 

Along with this the Rwanda Development Board  will be the tourism partner for one of the world’s leading football clubs, Arsenal.

 

 

This is designed to boost awareness of the East African country.

 

 

 

The new identity takes inspiration from Rwanda’s beautiful landscape, its volcanoes, its flora and fauna. It is also inspired by Rwanda traditional art form, Imigongo.

 

 

 

 

Over the coming months the identity will be introduced at a time where the global firms are showing interest by investing in the countries by tourists to visit and for countries to host summits and conferences in the capital Kigali.

 

 

 

Over the past few years Rwanada has undergone transformation and this is reflected in the new logo. It is modern, safe with world-class infrastructure and an expanding tourism sector.

 

There are massive investment in roads, telecoms, a new international airport as well as new premium hotel accommodation across Rwanda.

 

 

 

There are unique opportunities to trek for mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park.

 

 

Lake Kivu, Akagera and Nyungwe National Parks are areas with  stunning scenery and with wildlife.

 

 

 

Clare Akamanzi, chief executive of the Rwanda Development Board mentioned that the launch of Visit Rwanda was a  major new opportunity for them to showcase the best of Rwanda for tourists and investors.

 

 

In recent years there has been positive strides in Rwanda and they will be focusing on global campaigns  so that everyone is aware of the beauty of the country.
