The tourism spoiled metropolis in the Netherlands will put on: In Amsterdam, the number of overnight stays in hotels recently grew by double-digit percentages. More than 64,000 hotel beds are already in operation. More than 4,100 will be added. According TOPHOTELPROJECTS, specialized service provider in the exchange of cutting-edge information between clients and contractors in the international hotel industry, 17 new top hotels are currently in the pipeline.
The most powerful engine at the tourism growth is the strongly increasing number of guests from abroad, lately by plus twelve percent. With a total of more than twelve million overnight stays, the hotel’s upper categories are well utilized with about 82 percent at an average rate of 140 euros per night.
Selected Hotel Construction Projects in Amsterdam
Among the most outstanding hotel construction projects is the Port Resort German Novum Hotels. The new property with 245 rooms will arise in a prime location at the port of Amsterdam, close to the city centre of the international metropolis. In addition, a serviced apartment-property (operated by the Short Stay Group) and a marina with 200 berths for yachts, as well as a two-storey underground garage are planned.
One of the largest new hotels in Amsterdam is the Maritim Hotel with 579 rooms. The hotel tower with 34 floors will be built in prime location directly opposite the main railway station. 2018 is the scheduled opening.
