The hotel was reopened in 2014 renovating a $200 million worth spa sanctuary considered to be Puerto Rico’s first and only Hammam. It is located on the prime beachfront in the Condado district of San Juan.
Moczo role will involve building the reputation of the Spa at Condado Vanderbilt as the premier wellness destination in San Juan. The daily operations has to be managed like the overlooking staff, payroll, scheduling and purchasing and the overall operations of the award winning facility.
Moczo earlier served as the Spa Director of the Yhi Spa at the Gran Melai Puerto Rico and holds over 25 years of experience in the spa and wellness sector.
She also served at the other Puerto Rican properties like Four Seasons Resort Nevis and the Caribe Hilton Hotel. She was also an assistant spa director at the Ritz-Carlton San Juan.
Moczo is fluent in Spanish and English and had completed her undergraduate degree at the Lehman College in New York.
Previously, she worked as spa director at several other Puerto Rican properties including the Four Seasons Resort Nevis and the Caribe Hilton Hotel, and was assistant spa director at the Ritz-Carlton San Juan.
Moczo commented that she was comfortable in the front desk, as she was able to witness the first-hand transformation in the guests and found it more rewarding and comfortable. She believes in maintaining a good connection with the patrons.
Ben Tutt, the general manager of Condado Vanderbilt mentioned that the Andrea’s expertise will add more to this position and the hotel was excited to put her on board. The Spa has been a significant feature offered to the luxury experience offered to the guests.
