India’s one of the largest religious events, Ardha Kumbha Mela, is all set to kick-start on January 15, 2019. Nevertheless, the buzz around this world-famous occurrence has been there since several months. In 2019, the mela is about to take place in Allahabad, also known as, Prayagraj, one of the oldest Indian cities. Unlike its previous editions, the Ardha Kumbha Mela of 2019 will not only have an amazing number of facilities for public convenience but also at the same time is supposed to be promising for the tourists as well.
Attractions of Ardha Kumbha Mela 2019
On an overwhelming note, in order to initiate the Ardh Kumbh Mela, a grand procession called Peshwai (Praveshai) is conducted in the city welcoming pilgrims’ world over to join the festivity. Sadhus and monks across the country and the world reach the Mela grounds in elephants, horses and carriages with bands in tow. Monks from various akharas mark their arrival with immense fervor.
Around five cultural pandals will be constructed in Ardha Kumbha Mela 2019 to display the wide range of musical performances along with colorful folk dances. Of all the pandals, Ganga pandal will be the main attraction where all the prime events will take place. Pravachan pandal and about four convention centers arranging spiritual and cultural events will have all modern amenities.
