Despite slowdown in the Chinese economy, a number of major airports in China generated double digit growth: Shanghai Pudong (PVG) +12.5%, Chengdu (CTU) +10%, Kunming (KMG) +22%. Elsewhere in the region, New Delhi (DEL) reported +16.2% and Bangalore +22% supported by strong economic growth in India.
Air freight volumes continued to be weak, impacted by slowdown across Asian export markets and oil producing economies. In October 2015, freight volumes were essentially flat in Asia-Pacific +0.7% and slightly increased in the Middle East +2.2%.
