With Asia becoming a growth engine for the global tourism industry, there is a critical need to attract and groom the next generation of talent through strategic partnerships and carefully tailored talent programmes.
The Asia Travel Leaders Summit, an intimate dialogue among business leaders with strong interests in the development of Asia’s travel and tourism industry, will take a closer look at talent development at TravelRave 2013.
Business leaders from the region including Thomas Cook India, Patina Hotels & Resorts, TAUZIA Hotel Management, Panorama Group, Pan Pacific Hotels Group, Dusit Group have committed to lending strong support to further build on the talent development theme and explore how businesses can provide accessible and customised development programmes for employees. Leaders will also delve deeper into the strategic functions of companies such as exploring how Human Resources can be shaped to influence service delivery, to more effectively serve the unique needs and demands of the fast growing Asian travel community.
Ms Neeta Lachmandas, Assistant Chief Executive, Singapore Tourism Board, says, “The growing importance of emerging markets in Asia will continue to influence and shape not only the products and services for the travel and tourism industry, but also have implications for organisational practices and business strategies of companies looking to harness the new customer segments.”
“To ensure sustainable growth, businesses will need to respond quickly to the changing consumer profile and deliver the appropriate solutions that will meet the needs of the new Asian consumer.”
Leveraging the robust growth of the leisure and business travel industry in Asia, TravelRave, Asia’s most influential travel trade festival, provides a prime platform for business leaders and professionals in the travel and tourism industry to convene, network, share knowledge and insights, discover new business opportunities and celebrate Asian tourism at its best.
2012’s showing brought in more than 10,700 delegates from across the globe, and TravelRave 2013, to be held from 21 to 25 October promises to be even more exciting. With world-class events, top speakers, and valuable networking opportunities, TravelRave sets the stage for collaboration and enables the industry to better harness the vast growth potential presented in the region.
